On behalf of the Little River Watershed Association, we would like to extend an invitation for a fun, laid-back day on the Little River on Saturday, July 24th from 2-7 pm at River John's Island, 4134 Cave Mill Rd, Maryville TN, 37804.
We want this to be a fun, laid-back time for us to gather outdoors and enjoy the river. Unfortunately, no food or drink will be provided, so you must bring your own, but there is a grill and a pavilion on the island for use. There are also portapotties on the island for use, but please no dogs on the island.
If you've never been to River John's Island before, it is truly a special place right on the Little River for you to fish, swim, or just relax. You are also welcome to paddle the river, but you must bring your own boat and a way to shuttle yourself to the put-in of your choice, but the island can be your landing spot!
**Note, due to COVID, River John is not renting out boats this year.
